Architecture Build · Tier 2

When you know what to fix, this is the architect who fixes it.

The audit roadmap becomes the scope — so you pay to solve the problem, not to re-discover it. Senior-led, start to finish: discovery, build, a tested deploy with rollback, 30 days of support, and a full handoff your team owns completely.

Who this is for

You’ve got the diagnosis. Now you want it done.

Not filed as a backlog ticket that waits two quarters.

You have a ranked list of fixes and the will to ship them, but your team is at capacity or this isn’t their depth of Magento/Adobe Commerce.

You want a fixed scope and a fixed number before anyone writes a line of code.

You’re done with hourly engagements that creep, and agencies that scope with a senior and deliver with a junior.

How a build is scoped

The roadmap is the scope.

Every finding from the audit already carries a severity and an effort estimate — so the build proposal is a selection from a list you’ve already seen, priced as a fixed number with a delivery window. No discovery tax. No “it depends.”

Didn’t come through the audit? We start with a short, paid scoping pass so the number is honest — then it works the same way.

What’s included

01

Discovery & plan

Confirm scope, environments, access, and the rollback strategy before any code is written.

02

The build

The prioritized fixes, implemented to Magento coding standards on a branch, reviewed commit by commit. You can watch it land.

03

Testing

Automated where it pays for itself, manual on the checkout path, and performance re-measured against your audit baseline.

04

Deploy with rollback

Shipped behind a tested rollback plan, in a maintenance window you approve. If it regresses, we revert. No drama.

05

30-day support

Anything related to what we shipped is covered for 30 days after deploy.

06

Full handoff

The branch, the tests, a written changelog, and a walkthrough call. Your team owns all of it afterward.

How a build runs

Scope lock
The roadmap becomes a fixed-price statement of work — selected fixes, in order, with a delivery window. You approve before anything starts.
Build
Implementation on a branch, to Magento standards, reviewed commit by commit. Quick wins first so value lands early.
Test & measure
Automated + checkout-path testing; performance re-measured against the audit baseline. The improvement is quantified.
Deploy
Shipped in a window you approve, behind a tested rollback plan.
Handoff
Branch, tests, changelog, and a walkthrough call. Your team owns it. 30-day support starts here.

What the number depends on

Fixed before we start. Here’s what moves it.

How many fixes from the roadmap you want shipped, and how deep they go.

How much of the checkout path is involved — the most expensive surface to touch safely.

Environment complexity — single VPS vs multi-node, Adobe Commerce Cloud vs on-prem.

Whether your team pairs along the way — cheaper to maintain later, a little slower now.

Above ~$12K it’s really several builds — we’ll stage them so each one ships and proves value before the next starts.

Why us, not an agency

A senior architect does the work — start to finish.

The senior who measured your store is the one writing the code and on the call. No junior hand-off.

Fixed scope, fixed price.

You know the number and the window before we start. No hourly creep.

Evidence over opinion.

The gain is re-measured against your own audit baseline. You see the before and after, numbers attached.

What this is not

  • Not staff-aug you rent by the hour. Fixed scope, fixed price, a defined end.
  • Not a rewrite-the-world pitch. We ship the roadmap, in order, and stop when the problem is solved.
  • Not a black box. You see every commit, and you own everything at handoff.

What happens after

  1. 1

    Your team runs it.

Full handoff means they actually can — that’s the point.

  2. 2

    The next layer.

If the roadmap had structural work we staged, the next build is already scoped and ready when you are.

  3. 3

    Ongoing coverage.

An Architect Retainer keeps the store reviewed and catches the next problem before it costs you a campaign.

Questions, answered straight.

Do I have to do the audit first?
No — but it makes the scope honest and the build cheaper, because the roadmap already exists. Without it, we do a short paid scoping pass first.
Fixed price or hourly?
Fixed. The roadmap defines the scope, and the scope defines the number, agreed before any code is written.
Who actually writes the code?
We do — a senior architect, start to finish. No discovery-with-a-closer, delivery-by-a-junior.
What about my existing developers?
They can pair and review throughout, and the handoff is built specifically for them to own and extend it. Plenty of builds are explicitly a knowledge transfer.
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce?
Both. Open Source and Adobe Commerce (Cloud or on-prem), Magento 2.4.x.
What if it regresses after deploy?
It ships behind a tested rollback plan, and 30-day support covers anything related to what we shipped. The risk is ours to manage, not yours.
